Brighton has been voted one of the top 10 city beach break destinations in the world. This route begins from Hove and the beautiful beach huts and goes through the well known British Airways i360 offering stunning views (ticket required) of the coast and East Sussex. Opposite to the i360 you can find the West Pier, which closed in 2003 because of multiple fires. Moving on, the Brighton Palace Pier(free entry) offers many bars, restaurants and arcades. Up next is the Volks Electric Railway which runs a small traditional train service along the seafront shortly before, or at, Easter to the end of September. In just another 20-25 minutes walk from Volks Electric Railway, you will arrive to Brighton Marina Village.

Spots

  1. Bright, pastel and colourful beach huts in Hove. There are plenty of places to get some coffee or tea. Highly recommended to visit, especially if the sun is shining!

  2. British Airways i360 is a 162m observation tower on the seafront of Brighton, East Sussex, England at the landward end of the remains of the West Pier. The tower opened on 4 August 2016. From the fully enclosed viewing pod, visitors experience 360-degree views across Brighton, the South Downs and the English Channel.

  3. Opened in 1899 and home to fairground rides, bars, restaurants and deckchairs to enjoy the sea view. At 1,722 ft long and acknowledged as the finest pier ever built, Brighton Palace Pier now offers all the swagger and style of tradition balanced with the pace and excitement of today.

  4. Volk's Electric Railway is a narrow gauge heritage railway that runs along a length of the seafront of the English seaside resort of Brighton.

  5. Brighton Marina centres on the busy yacht harbour, where sailboats moor at the quay. It’s a chic shopping hub with fashion boutiques, galleries, and craft shops, plus casual eateries with terraces overlooking the water. Charter boats offer fishing and diving trips, and the Brighton Walk of Fame honours stars with local links.
