Warsaw, officially the Capital City of Warsaw, is Poland's capital and largest city. The metropolis is located on the Vistula River in east-central Poland, and its population is officially estimated at 1.86 million people within a 3.1 million-person metropolitan area, making Warsaw the sixth most populous city in the European Union.
